This was originally being used as a banner, though it has since been removed from the page. I didn't feel like having something that huge at the top of the screen.

Discipline and punish with the sentiment of an invisible omniscience.

You could call this... an introduction.

This turned out a lot better than I expected. The idea was to sort of fabricate the existence of a biological creature being in control of the camera. Obviously my possibilities for expanding upon the idea were limited so this was the most I could do, but considering I made the song out of nothing but beatboxing and vocals, I feel it fits well.

Bibio Videocassette #1 DDRpwnerer - 308 views - 2 months ago
I took some more analog footage and set it to a couple of tracks from Bibio's "Fi" album. I think the video itself at least mildly fits the songs, though I'm sure this would be better off with an 8mm camera instead. That being said, enjoy it as is and I apologize for the same point of view recurring through the whole film--I am unable to bring my camera out of the house because the battery doesn't hold a charge! :(

Soon I'll have an 8mm camera to do what I want with. :)

Title is self-explanatory. This is mesmerizing.

An analog test. I beat up the audio connections to the camera for this one and actually ran the sound straight through it, and the result is, well... destroyed.

"As the focus for offerings, the tomb was known as the "ka house"; statues of the deceased within the tomb are often called "ka statues" for the same reason. Statues of the deceased placed in the tomb serve as physical repositories for the dead person's spirit. Through the ritual of "opening the mouth," the statue was made an actual living being, able to receive offerings and live eternally as a physical container for the deceased's spirit (or "ka"). For these reasons, statues ideally were made of stone or other durable materials such as hardwood or metal."

"Can you see that sort of duality in tracks like An Eagle in Your Mind?"

"Quite so. On the one hand, we have melodies and almost naïve vocals; on the other, a process of corruption of these melodies and vocals, by means of a certain ambiance, or through transformations, as in the track you mentioned, or "sixtyten". We don't want to go in the direction of jungle beats, which, by their very ambitiousness and complexity, can really mess up the feel of the type of effect- the troubled emotions and ambiguity - that we are trying to achieve. The rhythm has to remain simple; it's a matter of balance."

Aphex Twin - Come to Daddy (Trapezoid Remix) [By Richard Devine] DDRpwnerer - 331 views - 2 months ago
Surprised nobody uploaded this! I love this track--sounds nothing like Come to Daddy, though. I guess that isn't such a bad thing, but it bares almost no resemblance, kind of like what Aphex does to other people's tracks...

About Me: I make glitch music under the alias of Vektordrum. Hey.

Also, hello D4TL, this is Didder.

I've been writing mostly glitch oriented music (Think Richard Devine) recently, though I've stuck to an ambient sound with an occasional deviation into a realm of upbeat glitch at times. Only time will tell how the sound morphs from here.

My tools consist of mostly DSP interfaces, mostly FL Studio and Reaktor with a bit of guitar (electric and bass, going to have acoustic soon) through my Line-6 Toneport UX2 external audio card/preamp. I don't generally use hardware but when I do it consists of a few cheap guitar pedals and an MC-303 by Roland. I frequently use an Axiom 25 MIDI controller by M-Audio, and occassionally I implement other software like Sony ACID for mixing/mastering and I do own a copy of Ableton Live if I may ever do a formal live set.
