I have been playing music since I was about 5 years old. I am a so/so singer and pretty good musician and songwriter. I like Country, Bluegrass,Gospel, and quite a lot of other styles of music. I have been married for 33 years to my wife Sharon, and we have 4 children and 11 grandchildren. I have been a Railroad Man,Miner,Mine Operator,Excavation Contractor,Insurance Salesman,Real Estate Investor,Pro-musician,Songwrit er (registered with BMI),Have played on the road/radio/tv in the past. I guess the highlight of my music past is having played on stage at Nashville as one of the Bluegrass Boys (on Banjo) for Bill Monroe.I also have sit side by side when I was a young man and played guitar with Lester Flatt and Earl Scruggs in the 1960s. I was told by Lester that I could have a job playing guitar with them as soon as I graduated from High School, but I had a job waiting on me on the Railroad and chose that instead. Who knows- you may have seen me on stage in the 1990s? I still have my gibson banjo that I played for him there- and it is used in some of my videos listed on youtube. I guess I am my worst critic. Hollywood asked for a couple of my songs, but that has not materialized yet. Ralph Stanley has one of my original songs, but I don't think he has recorded as of yet. I have not posted them here because of obligations to BMI. Who knows - you may hear one of them one day! Oh, before I forget- my wifes aunt Played Loretta Lynn's (mother) in the movie "Coal Miners Daughter"

When I was growing up--- a lot of people looked down on Musicians and folks Who travelled all the time playing in a band----------- sortof claimed they were lazy or something to that effect. I was from a hard working family of Railroad or Coal Miners---- and I felt that I OWED it to my Family to Put Forth that sort of effort!
