This playlist is set aside for demos that capture strange or uncommon events in the Doom universe. Most events were deliberately hunted down for recording, others occurred spontaneously while recording combat demos.

The original-Xbox games "Doom 3: Limited Collector's Edition" and "Doom 3: Resurrection of Evil" include ports of PC Ultimate Doom and PC Doom II. Each port includes all of the maps in the PC game, plus one additional map: "Sewers" in Ultimate Doom, and "Betray" in Doom II. These are hidden maps, and are not intended to be a part of normal gameplay.
This playlist features videos for these two hidden levels.
The Doom and Doom II Barrel Bug: If a monster is hurt in a barrel explosion, it may turn and attack anyone who struck the barrel prior to the explosion. In early versions of Doom, a monster may even attempt to attack itself after being hurt by a barrel that it damaged. Examples of that behavior are captured in this collection.
In most cases, a monster that attempts to attack itself will make repeated attacks towards the east side of the map (Lost Souls will attack once towards the east, then resume their normal behavior). Some types of monsters will damage themselves in these attacks, others will not.
These videos were made using DOSbox to capture demos made several years ago with PC Doom version 1.1. DOSbox captures video at Doom's native resolution of 320x200, and the video is then upconverted to 960x720. As a result, 'HD" video quality is not as high as that of most of the other videos on this channel.
The original .lmp demo files for these videos can be found at http://classicdoom.com/v11bbugs.htm
These are HD gameplay videos from various Classic Doom and Doom II based games. Most of these show puzzle solutions or walkthroughs, but some show examples of combat, or game-engine quirks.
Note: Many videos, especially those showing the location of score-affecting secret areas, incorporate pop-up Annotations. For best results be sure your current YouTube video settings allow Annotations to be displayed.
Most of the PC-game demos were recorded years ago using vanilla off-the-shelf Doom games running under DOS at original 320x200 resolution, and played keyboard-only on a PC with no audio output. For YouTube, all of these demos are played back on another PC using GlBoomPlus running at 960x720 and converted into video files using Fraps.
