also i can give you the best hind about a dance being turkic or not 1. a turkic dance looks always like a eagle flying with arms raised high like in zeybek 2. a turkic dance is never side to side like halay is it has to be front to front

ottomans were just ONE family there is no tribe called ottoman they were from a turkmen tribe ( turkmenistan ) and not all turks of turkey are turkmen origin in fact most are simply anatolians nativs so a mix of armenian , greek , syrian etc ( the dark ) than there are also many migrated people from all over balkan and caucasus ( the lighter ) the real turks are 10% at most

haa very slow internet - I tried to send u my message 3 times, anyway
Bulgar and Thracian wrestlers are very similar - I was very surprised when I saw Thracian wrestlers with proto-Bulgarian hairstyles, you know. I wish you to get the car in the near future and to have nice moments with it. I was in Koprivshtiza - there was the beginning of the April uprising. I got the swear of the Chetniks, I tried to translate it, but you will see I will send it to you! |

Actually the Pehlivan wrestle is Turkish tradition, but maybe there was similar tradition in Bulgaria before the Turkish invasion - as we know proto-bulgars had great martial arts. Basil I of Macedon(Byzantine emperor) was a slave of khan Krum, in Bulgaria they learned the Bulgarian wrestling and went back to Constantinople, there with his skills he won against the best wrestlers of the emperor, then he became more famous. The authors said that his wrestling - Bulgarian style was different than the Greek and Roman.
