Quilas (parrots) at Golondrinas ChaosLodge - 145 views - 6 months ago
Sotano de Las Golondrinas means 'Pit of the Swallows' (they're actually swifts). The quilas (a type of parrot) and the swifts spiral up from their roosts 1200' feet down and go off to their feeding grounds each morning.
The returning swifts will plummet down at amazing speeds while avoiding the parrots as they lazily circle down.
Too cool.

Meet Golondrinas. The 2nd deepest entrance pit in the world. 376m deep (1233 feet). Its beauty is breathtaking and its inhabitants (swifts and parrots) make a memorable and moving daily trip to and from this hole they call home.

O2 sensor Bench Test ChaosLodge - 29,583 views - 1 year ago
This is a comparison of 2 wideband O2 sensors for a Honda Civic VX. The first is a new Bosch sensor #13246(Made by NTK) that has an internal fault. The second is a known good unit by NTK from a functioning 1995 VX.

Pay attention to the erratic voltage of the Bosch sensor. At one point it even fails to respond.

The used NTK has a rapid but steady voltage fluxuation as heat is added, then removed from the tip. This is normal operation.

When at operating temperature, the change from 0.9v to 0.1v should be in the approximate 1 second range.
