23 facts about the connections between Ameica and Welsh, these facts are from one Welsh site and I found some and rechecked others on other American sites, and every single one said the same thing.
Although there is more English history in America than any other, and more Irish precense in America, Welsh have stronger connections than ireland to America and play a part next to the English.
America has Welsh roots but not many know them, please feel free to leave your own comments on America and Welsh history!

Wynford Vaughan-Thomas and Professor Gwyn Williams meet at the Uffington White Horse for a civilised exchange of views (until one of them gets the Celtic Creeps).
Wynford Vaughan-Thomas, CBE (the 'marshmallow'), was a significant contributor to Welsh cultural life through his journalism, his books about Wales, and his broadcasting career. He died in 1987 (about two years after this program was first aired) and a memorial to him has been erected in the county of Powys.
Professor Gwyn Williams (the 'magpie') was a leading Welsh historian and well-known socialist political activist. His academic achievements include the book When Was Wales?, and positions of Professor of History at both the University of York and Cardiff University. He became well-known as a broadcaster later in life, and died in 1995 (Online obituaries in the Socialist Review and The Independent make interesting reading).

Written and presented by Wynford Vaughan-Thomas and Gwyn Williams
Wynford Vaughan-Thomas, broadcaster and writer of many books about Wales, visits the Paviland Caves where ancient human remains were found, and argues that the beginning of Wales can be traced back many thousands of years. He also nestles up to Arthur's Stone and has a look at some stone circles.
Gwyn Williams, Professor of History and lifelong Marxist, takes great exception to this view. He begins his history of Wales down a disused coalmine, and argues that Welsh history proper began only 1,500 years ago.
Throughout the episode, the two experts present their incompatible views of Wales and their totally different approach to history and how to define it. In the final part of this episode, they come face-to-face.
From "The Dragon Has Two Tongues: A History of the Welsh" Episode One: Where to Begin' (1985). There were 13 episodes in total, and this is the only one I have, unfortunately.
Like a lot of my uploads, this is taken from an ancient VHS tape and the sound level is not very good.
