An ongoing project to showcase 70's and 80's music videos, television shows and movies.

Although predominately an 80's based channel I have been adding more 70's content lately. There are simply too many great songs, movies and shows from the 70's to not include them here!

Basically this channel has music video compilations, trailers, TV themes and lots more to find in the playlists section. Also the entire favourites section is dedicated to music only from the 70's and 80's.

Backup Channel
http://www.youtube.com/user...

Above is a link to my backup channel. It has other 80s music videos and soundtracks from movies from the 70's and 80's. I am on my 2nd strike for copyright infringement so please take two seconds to sub the backup channel and you will still get sent videos if this main one gets suspended.
About Me:

I grew up in the 70's and 80's and music, movies and television played a huge part of it. I used to go to sleep with the radio on each night. I still remember the time I woke up in the middle of the night and heard Vincent Price talking throughout Michael Jackson's Thriller....scary moment for a young lad.

I love pretty much all types of music so you will see alot of different songs amongst the compilations on this channel. Recently I have started adding television compilations and movie trailers as well.

New Zealand during the early 80's only had 2-3 channels and only a few music shows (Ready To Roll and Soild Gold) No MTV down at the bottom of the world! Luckily another show came on T.V called Radio With Pictures that showed alternative bands. This allowed me to get a balance of chart hits and alternative music.

I hope you enjoy the channel and it brings back some good memories. I love talking about music and movies so feel free to leave a message...

Terrific channel! Here's my movie recommendation for you. It's called: "Aloha, Bobby & Rose." It was made in L.A. in about 1974, and stars Paul Le Mat, who had just starred in "American Grafitti."
Le Mat plays Bobby, a Hollywood car mechanic who cruises the Sunset strip in a hot rod 1968 Camaro.
He meets Rose, falls in love, and...well...you'll just have to watch the movie to find out! Cheers~

hey man, i need ur help. i was looking for a movie similar to the "equalizer2000" and its name is almost the same too, almost identical. it was done before 1994(not sure what year), and there are 2 things i remember from the movie. 1. when the good guy is getting car chased in the dessert, the bad guys car hood behind him pops of, and 2. the good guy had a special feature on his car, right next to the front wheels, 2 mini machine guns whould pop out and shoot. hopefully u can help me in finding the name of the movie. thanx.

ps- i could be wrong, but i think the name was something around the area of "nightrider 2020"

Thank you Ward for your comment. Yes I am an 80's addict, for sure and I watched Solid Gold as well. They had some great dancers. Even though the 80's have come and gone, at least we can relieve it here on Youtube. I'm going to sub at your backup channel too. -

Hey, yes Tim did fine work on that series. So I'm sure he'll do fine. I just can't help but be cynical about the recent horror remake craze, and Breck Eisner's "Sahara" I hated and I like Romero's original a lot. But it was a good trailer so heh, maybe they nailed this one. Ah well, we'll see.
