37.5 events across Scotland presented by the NTS Robert Burns Birthplace Museum including comedy, music, poetry, speed-dating, theatre, debate, dancing, suppers and whisky all to celebrate the birthday of Scotland's world-famous bard, Robert Burns.
The diverse programme attracted hundreds of young adults and cultural audiences from across the country, appreciating Burns in new and different ways and continuing his legacy for a new generation in a way that was different, fun and a first for Scotland's famous poet.
Robert Burns was just 37 and a half when he died. Our packed programme of 37.5 events kicked off at 17:59hrs on Tuesday the 24th of January and ran for 24 hours in the build up to the bard's birthday. The activities finished at 25 January 17:59hrs, signifying the full date of his birth and culminating in the commencement of Burns Suppers across the nation and the globe.
