*Watch it in High Quality, it's easier to read the text*
This was a quick collaboration tutorial project by myself, Oritasho, 4564gfghgf (Adfirmatio), and Kissesofrain. This is not intended to be a step by step guide to making the most amazing sims 2 video ever. It addresses common mistakes made by noobie film makers and ways to avoid them. We've provided a list of links to tutorials, movie maker objects and other fun goodies that will help you with your sims 2 movies. Remember, there is no secret to making a great sims 2 video.
This is by no means meant to tell you HOW to make a video, but guidelines that have worked for all of us when filming and editing. The post processing section is only suggestions on less dramatic effects that can be just as effective as crazy-over-the-top effects a lot of people tend to overuse. We're not telling anyone what to do, so don't get the wrong idea from this. It is simply to help people who really don't know what to do next.
This video is aimed that people who use Sony Vegas, because that seems to be more common editor for sims 2 videos. Here is a link to a channel I've found very useful in the past:

Jenesse and I decided we were going to make a production group and need new members, so we wanted to give people the opportunity to try out and join, and also for other people to get better know for their work in the sims machinama community.
Theme: The theme to your movie must have a dark theme to it, not necessarily horror, but just something that we can all relate to in some way, it can be about innocence, lose, hate, revenge, depression, be creative.
NO EMO STORIES! Depression if not Emo people, skinny jeans and thickthick black eyeliner does (yeah you can still use eyeliner, just don;t scene/emo up your sims too much)
we just mean teen videos with emo/scene sims
Deadlines: January 20th 2010
Rules:
- No overly mainstream music, no rap/R&B or hip-hop.
- no downloaded sims (downloaded lots will be alright)
- The videos must have CC (custom content) of some kind
- NO stealing others movies
- have an original or semi original idea
- no using music weve used in our movies/series
- to enter you must make a video response to this video!
- everyone if welcome
Time limit:
- No shorter then 1:30
- No longer then 4:00 (roughly)
- And yes you can have voice actors if it is needed.
Prizes:
First place:
- 3 free sims downloads, of any of our sims, Given that we still have them
- a set of 5 different custom sim-eyes created by Oritasho
- a custom set of skin tones
- a place in out production group if wanted.
- An Episode of Alice in wonderland or Definition of forever (if youre a fan of either) a week in advanced before anyone else.
Second place
- 1 free sims downloads, of any of our sims, Given that we still have them
- a set of 4 different custom sim-eyes created by Oritasho
- a place in production group if wanted
Third place:
- 1 free sim download, of any of our sims, Given that we still have them
- a set of 3 different custom sim-eyes
What youll be judged on:
- your story and how well you portray the mood
- your sims and lots/sets

When Kaylin met pretty girl Mary Alice, he couldn't do what al the other little boys would do. Fall in love with her that is. Instead, the appearing of Mary Alice brings out a whole new side of him.

After finishing SW, I wanted to do something more... positief. I hope you enjoy it.
Fun fact about the vid:
- Why is Kaylin floating in the beggining? Dunno! But I liked the way it looked.
- The vid was based intirely on this one sentence in the song.
- Guess wich character of SW appears in the background quite a few times?:P
- Mike was actually called Romeo in the game, but I thoughed Mike whould suite him better.

Ok here's the story:
Anne Claire is a young girl who's father is a drunk and abusive. He hits her mother very much and sometimes Anne Claire as well. Then her mother had the courage to send him away and he did.
Years later, he came back for revenge. Well Anne claire was sleeping, he killed her mother by a gunshot. The shot woke Anne Claire up and she rushed downstairs to see what happened. There she found her father and her mother was lying dead on the ground.
While her father took another drink, she grabbed a knife and stabbed her father to death.
The police came and arrest her. In prison she's mourning and thought about her actions. She's now regretting in jail.
