Harvey Summers is a multi-instrumentalist, composer, arranger, producer, engineer and one of the most prolific contributors to Blue Dot Music's playlists. Hugely influenced by Daniel Lanois, his music is, in his own words, "evocative, emotional, quirky and dynamic". Having studied Chinese music extensively he successfully integrates eastern sounds, rhythms and instruments into his works without ever losing sight of melodramatic moments, chants, themes and highly commercial hooks not usually associated with contemplative music. This particular selection showcases spiritual, moving, exotic and above all peaceful, thought-provoking compositions which display the mature experience of a man who has been composing haunting themes since early childhood.
