Born from the spirit of the 1996 Atlanta Summer Paralympic Games, BlazeSports America is a national nonprofit organization that enables children and adults with physical disability to realize their potential through sport and healthy lifestyles. BlazeSports provides sports training, competitions, summer camps, leadership training, and recreational opportunities for youth and adults who use wheelchairs, have a visual impairment, have an amputation, or who have a neurological disability such as cerebral palsy through 63 clubs in 29 states including the District of Columbia.

Our Approach: a comprehensive, year-round approach that delivers high quality programs that
transform local communities and nurture the personal, physical, and psychological wellbeing of
children and adults with physical disabilities. By utilizing the full continuum from recreational to
competitive sport, camps, clinics, and after-school programming, children with disabilities discover
their personal potential, youth learn to embrace their individuality and identify their unique
capabilities, young adults develop leadership skills, and adults with disability serve as mentors and
role models.

bifida, cerebral palsy, amputation and blindness as well as traumatic brain injury and related
conditions such as muscular dystrophy and stroke.
