Great work with Gradius Gaiden. I've been extremely anxious to get my hands on this game. Unfortunately, I've had trouble finding the rom so I've been looking around eBay and having better luck there =P.

To be honest, I'm hesitant to attempt to no-miss the entire crystal stage because both the end of the stage (where you have to dodge those ice cubes) and the boss took me a large number of tries to beat by restarting from save states. There is an incredible video by BGR44 where he 1cc's Gradius 3. I think I got it at super-play.co-uk . Seeing that video makes my attempts feel redundant (on loop 1, anyway) and I'm not really motivated to reproduce what he's already done. So instead I've been trying to do new things, like starting the levels with no powerups or playing on loop 2. But if people really want to see me pass or at least attempt some of the stages, then I'll give it a go anyhoo :). |

I'm really enjoying the Gradius III Arcade videos you've been making, especially your most recent one with Stage 4. Any chance you're going to do videos on other stages, like the ice crystal stage, anytime soon? Besides what's offered here at Youtube, I haven't really seen any stages in this version of the game.
