Estonia is a full member of the world largest military organization NATO. And yet Estonia is building a modern army capable of defending the country and Baltic region.
The Navy is responsible for protecting the territorial of the Republic of Estonia. In case of crisis situation the Navy is ready to defend sea approaches, harbor areas, sea lines of communication and to co-operate with coalition units.
The Army is responsible for protecting the territorial land of the Republic of Estonia. The Estonian Defence forces have 3 different armies - The Army, the Reserve Army, the Defence League.
The Air Force is responsible for protecting the territorial air-space of the Republic of Estonia.
The Estonian Defence Forces reaches its maximum power of 300,000 men.

The First Night Song parties were held in 1988 in Estonia, when hundreds of thousand Estonians came together to sing. It happened at night and lasted until morning. later it was named the "Singing Revolution".
