I made my annual pilgrimage to Boxted Air Field today.. Just out of curiousity I timed myself, and it takes 19 minutes to cycle from my door to the memorial placed by the main runway! Not too bad, I guess.. It made me sad to see it today though, as the new owner not only have knocked down nearly all the old Nissen Huts that used to be visible from the memorial, but he has also ploughed up the remains of the perimeter track leading down to the beginning of the main runway.. He has done it to gain more farmland, which is understandable, but in my opinion it's still vandalism! I got some good footage to use in a future modelling video though.. :)
