Vince Benander began his computer stats business in 1981 beginning with five Cleveland area communities. Local demand for the stats increased and more and more leagues signed on to receive comprehensive weekly stats for their softball and hardball leagues. Soon, BGSD expanded to other sports, adding basketball, then football and hockey in 1996. In 1997 the company added free-of-charge access to all league stats at their new web site www.bgsd.com, which was redesigned in 2000 and again in 2004. In all, thousands of athletes from New York to California have enjoyed BGSD's stats and services.
