National research shows that the positive relationships between youth in the Big Brothers Big Sisters program and their Big Brothers and Big Sisters have a direct, measurable and lasting impact on children's lives. Children are more likely to graduate from high school and less likely to be involved in violence.

Big Brothers Big Sisters is the oldest, largest, and most effective youth mentoring organization in the United States. In 2006, the organization served 242, 000 youths nationwide.

Big Brothers Big Sisters particularly needs male mentors. All it takes is a few hours a couple of times a month. You don't have to change your life to impact his.
