Many YouTubers remix existing content using their own style of creativity and editing skills; this may result in becoming viral, gaining millions of views. Schmoyoho is popular on Youtube for 'songifying' (remixing) exisiting content. Schmoyoho encourages his audience to request remixes and also encourages his viewers to songify their own versions of the song, this then can be shared on social media sites and become viral in only a view months, weeks or even days! - David Jones

Film clips are often intergrated in video remixes and song remixes. An example is a video posted by worldzfinezt where he uses a line from the film 300 and turns it into a song by repeating it. He also uses clips from other films with the main characters head from 300 superimposed over them. His video has millions of views worldwide. This demonstrates how creativity of consumers can create a hype bigger than some companies achieve spending a lot of money on advertisement. - Mike Hornby

An example of how consumers have become more interactive and creative with media is video remixing. This involves someone taking material already out there say on youtube for example and re-working it to create a whole new meaning. Usually to create humour by changing the order of people's speech. A famous example being Cassetteboy's remix of BNP leader Nick Griffin talking on Question Time. He remixed the video to make Nick Griffin appear racist and look foolish. - Mike Hornby
