THE SPECIFICATIONS
Manufacture: Sony Corporation (USA)
Model No.: HDR-HC1
Resolution: HD HDV1080i. 2.8 mega pixel still camera.
Recording type: Mini DV (HD)
Features: Super SteadyShot, High Definition 1080i recording, HDV/DV Switchable, Carl Zeiss Vario-Sonnar T* Lens, manual focus, auto focus, zoom focus, 2.8 megapixels, digtal zoom.

Review:
This camera can withstand a lot of abuse. I have accidentally dropped it on concrete and filmed in the rain for an hour without a cover, and it still keeps on trucking! Although, the rain did make it so the touch flip-screen only works in certain positions (usually tucked away and flipped out, as seen in the video). There are a few cracks even in the plastic, but that does not affect its performance. One thing that is rather frustrating with the HC1 model is that the DV tape ejects from the bottom, so it is difficult to do work with a tripod. Also, it is rather big compared to other models (note: the battery is after-stock). But other than that, it is a powerful and tough Sony camera.

Other Sony HDR models include: HDR-HC1 HDR-XR520 HDR-TG3E HDR-SR12 HDR-HC9 HDR-TG1 HDR-SR11 HDR-HC7 HDR-UX5 HDR-TG3 HVR-Z5U HDR-FX1000 HDR-CX7 HDR-CX12 HDR-FX1 HDR-SR10 HDR-HC9 HDR-HC7 HDR-SR12E HDR-SR11E HDR-SR10E HDR-TG1 HDR-HC

Sony HDR Accessories: wireless mic, wide angle, battery AuntBee09 - 203 views - 3 weeks ago
Check out more stuff at http://SonyCams.blogspot.com
See another detailed video of this camera at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v =q3Q1MaJTtNo

Camera: Sony HDR-HC1 Handycam
Microphone: ECM-HW1R Sony Bluetooth (Wireless)
Lens: Sony Wide Conversion Lens x0.7 VCL-HG0737X (Wide Angle)
Battery: Info Lithium (Li-Ion)
Remote: Sony Remote Commander RMT-831 (This remote actually came with my Sony HDR-HC5)

Review:
The wireless microphone works very well; I do not know the exact distance it can go before loosing reception, but I would guess it could up around a dozen or so yards (I have never had any reception issues). The lens is decent, but I rarely use it... The battery usually lasts for hours and I rarely have it go out during shooting. And a special note about the remote: I actually do not know if it is compactable with this camera because it is from my HDR-HC5 and I have never tried it with my HDR-HC1 (I kind of edited the remote into this video by accident).

Canon Camera Accessories: lens, battery, light AuntBee09 - 164 views - 3 weeks ago
Check out more camera stuff at my blog: http://SonyCams.blogspot.com
See my other Canon Camera video at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v =e0edVRFPkLE

The additional camera items include the following,
Lens: a wide angle Opteka HD2 High Definition, Macro 30.5mm-37mm
Light: Bower
Battery: Lenmar lithium ion

Review
The Opteka lens works well when you are working areas with limited space; however, with this camera, the wide angle lens can sometimes end up looking like a fish-eye lens during editing. The Lenmar battery (if I remember right) typically lasts a few hours, depending on whether the pop-out screen is being used or not. The Bower light never worked that well for me; it uses its own battery power, which quickly runs out of juice.

The Canon ZR Model AuntBee09 - 224 views - 3 weeks ago
See more camera stuff at http://SonyCams.blogspot.com

Manufacture: Canon
Model: Canon Digital Video Camcorder NTSC ZR80 A
Tape type: Mini DV (60 minutes standard; 90 extended)
Resolution: standard 720 X 480
Lens Zoom: 80x
Digital Zoom: 360x
Features: night mode, semi manual focus, rec search, data code, AE shift, end search, rec pause, menu options, still photo capture, playback, etc.

This camera makes a good and inexpensive starter camera, though it has very few features for videographers wanting to grow in their hobby/career. One of the things I like about it was that it has a good white-balance program/equipment in it. Also, it has never given me too many problems when it comes to light and adjusting the exposure automatically. The auto-focus feature in it isnt very good - often focusing back and forth between two objects at different distances. Overall though, this little camera is a decent one.

Check out more at my blog: http://SonyCams.blogspot.com
And see more of this camera - the Sony HDR-HC5 - at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v =qpVevTgO-oQ

Lens: Sony Wide Conversion Lens x0.7 VCL-HG0737X
Microphone: Sony Gun Zoom Microphone ECM-HGZ1
Remote: Sony Remote Commander RMT-831
Remote features: start/stop, photo, index, - memory +, search memory, fastforward, rewind, play, pause, slow, zero set memory, display.

These Sony accessories have worked well for me with my two Sony Cameras: the Sony HDR-HC5 and HDR-HC1 (both Handycam models). The lens captures a lot and is good when you need to go mobile. The Sony microphone is great because it can actually aim at the sound you want to record, similar to sound recorded at sporting events. The remote works alright; reception is not the best, but it beats having to use the screen to playback the mini DV tapes.

THE SPECIFICATIONS
Manufacture: Sony Corporation (USA)
Model No.: HDR-HC5 (also comes in HDR-HC7)

Recording type: Mini DV
Features: nightshot, back light, x.v.Color, ClearVid CMOS sensor, play/edit, 80x digital zoom, Carl Zeiss Vario-Sonnar, infoLITHIUM (AntiFORCE) battery, 7.2V, NTSC.

Review:
This camera is small and powerful, while still being easy enough for almost anyone to use and providing the features that professional videographers desire. Its user friendly you can eject the DV tape while the camera is screwed in to a tripod and the touch-screen makes navigating the menu simple. Most come with a remote control so you can sit on the couch and watch home videos on it without having to get up to control it. This camera also has a very nice still camera capability, with even a pop-out flash option for images that dark. There are a lot of add-ons and accessories available for this camera, such as wireless microphones and camera lights.

Dell Computer - Booting Error AuntBee09 - 3,113 views - 1 month ago
UPDATE: I posted a solution to this on my blog: http://dell-problems.blogspot. com

The facts:
Manufacture: Dell Computer Corporation
Computer: Dell Precision WorkStation 360
Model: DHM (or WHM or DHS, or WHL)
Operating system: Microsoft Windows XP Professional (version 5.1.2600)
Processor: Intel Pentium 4 CPU 2.80 GHz
Processor speed: 2.73 GHz
RAM: 1024 MB

The problem:
I was watching a DVD and decided to shut it down (with the DVD still playing). The normal way of shutting it down was taking too long, so I pushed the manual shut off button on the tower and it turned off instantly. From this point on, it has been unable to fully start up the blue screen of death always appears when windows is loading. The Stop error reads:
A problem has been detected and Windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer.
UNMOUNTABLE_BOOT_VOLUME
If this is the first time youve seen this Stop error screen, restart your computer. If this screen appears again, follow these steps:
Check to make sure any new hardware or software is properly installed. If this is a new installation, ask your hardware or software manufacturer for any Windows updates you might need.
If problems continue, disable or remove any newly installed hardware or software. Disable BIOS memory options such as caching or shadowing. If you need to use Safe Mode to remove or disable components, restart your computer, press F8 to select Advanced Startup Options, and then select Safe Mode.
Technical information:
*** STOP: 0x000000ED (0x867CDC08, 0xC0000006, 0x00000000, 0x00000000)

A side note @ 0:07
One of the screens you see come up has to do with my battery having low voltage. See pictures at http://dell-problems.blogspot. com/2009/05/dell-computer-low- battery-voltage.html It says, Alert! System battery voltage is low. Strike the F1 Key to continue, F2 to run the setup utility. If anyone has any ideas about how to get rid of this also, that would be great!

I WOULD BE GREATFUL FOR ANY ADVICE, TIPS, OR TRICKS TO FIX THIS PROBLEM. THANK YOU!

How I Fixed My Dell Laptop AuntBee09 - 3,272 views - 2 months ago
Read about more Dell problems at http://dell-problems.blogspot. com/

If your computer is experiencing any of the problems that are seen in this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v =tBEEojCyWgQ (blue screen, freezing, restarting, not starting, and etc.)

Directions:
Remove the lid on the bottom of your laptop. Then remove on the RAM modules, and close the lid; turn your laptop on to see if it now functions properly. If this has no effect on it, put back in the RAM module, and remove the other one. Test it again to see if it now works. If it still does not work, then your problem might be a software (not a hardware) problem.

Remember to wash your hands before doing this and be gentle with the technology inside your computer.

You also might notice that the computer runs slower with only one RAM module. I would recommend you order another RAM module. However, I do not think using just one RAM module affects your lap top negatively.

NOTE: I did not figure this out by myself; a friend (who would like to remain anonymous) recommended I try this.

Dell Laptop Common Problems - Freezing, Start Up Error, Blue Screen AuntBee09 - 4,996 views - 3 months ago
See pictures of other Dell error messages I have gotten at http://dell-problems.blogspot. com/2009/05/pictures-of-dell-b lue-screen-dumping.html

See how I fixed it at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v =aMEC37ryUoE

The facts:
Model: Dell Latitude CPx (H500GT?) (Latitude C Family).
Bios version: A14
Processor: Pentium III
Operating system: Windows XP (Professional)
Model No: PPX
Ref number: 99080
IC class: C ICES-3

The Issues:
1. My Dell computer does not start up properly: I will push the on-button and the green start-up / power light will come on, but the computer will not start. There will be no sound of the computer working. Then, the light will turn off a few seconds later. How or when I press the on-button makes no difference.

2. At random, the blue screen of death will appear. Pictures these error messages are available at http://dell-problems.blogspot. com
The error messages generally read:
A problem has been detected and Windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer. If this is the first time youve seen this stop error screen, restart your computer. If this screen appears again, follow these steps: Run a system diagnostic utility supplied by your hardware manufacturer. In particular, run a memory check, and check for faulty or mismatched memory. Try changing video adapters. Disable or remove any newly installed hardware and drivers. Disable or remove any newly installed software. If you need to use Safe Mode to remove or disable components, restart your computer, press F8 to select Advanced Startup Options, and then select Safe Mode. Technical information: *** STOP: 0x0000007F (0x0000000D, 0x00000000, 0x00000000) Beginning dump of physical memory Dumping physical memory to disk: Ive also gotten the technical information: *** STOP: 0x0000008E (0C0000005, 0x7F4D9023, 0x79BDC700, 0x00000000).

3. Freezing up at random. Though, sometimes this seems to happen when the laptop is moved or touched, but not always.

4. On a few occasions, the laptop has restarted randomly.

What has NOT helped:
Reinstalling Windows XP (Professional).
Running Safe Mode.
Disk Defragmenting.
Cleaning
Uninstalling new software.

Police Officer Struck and Thrown By Car AuntBee09 - 96,751 views - 1 year ago
***My homepage: http://AuntBee09.blogspot.com/

It was about 6:00 PM on a dark and rainy Friday night on February 8, 2008 in downtown Bellevue, Washington. There was a small car fire in the parking lot of Lakeshore Learning Center and the traffic motorcycle officer assisted the fire department with traffic control. While he was directing cars, a red 2008 Audi TT going east bound on NE 4 ST struck him in between 110 AVE NE and 112 AVE NE. He was apparently, ". . . thrown over the hood and into the street," said Public Information Officer, Greg Grannis. The 75 year old driver stopped and is fully cooperating with the Bellevue Police Department. The driver did not appear to be intoxicated. The Officer was rushed to Overlake Hospital were he had surgery to mend a broken leg and is expected to recover. This happened right outside Bellevue City Hall. The road was obviously closed for a while.

NOTE: I believe at first, they thought there was an officer down, one journalist told me. Unfortunately, I missed the very first part of the dispatch, so I wasn't exactly sure what happened, but I had a few ideas :) I'm just really glad the officer is going to be OK.

ANOTHER NOTE: at 0:14-0:29 an officer accidentally let me get close to the crime scene and I was called back shortly after that. And at 1:54-2:21 I was talking on the phone with either KING 5 or Q 13 FOX News. It was really hard talking on the phone, manning the camera, and holding up my umbrella (I have yet to get a camera rain coat). Plus, the auto-focus on my camera was screwing up because it was dark and rainy, so I had to continually use manual focus. So it was not easy :)

PERSONAL NOTE: I sold this footage to KIRO 7 for $100. I was going to sell footage to KOMO 4; I even allowed them to record my footage in their van, but they didn't have any video release forms with them so they told me to go to the station. When I got there, the news assignment person told me by phone that she talked to the news crew and they decided they were not going to use it, so they were not going to pay me. Needless to say: I was not happy with them. I told the KOMO news desk by phone that they wasted my time. I do not mind if they don't want or need my footage, but I felt like they used me. I learned a lesson that night: don't trust someone's word, get the money first . . . there, I'm done venting, lol

Special Ops Police Helicopter AuntBee09 - 20,754 views - 1 year ago
***My homepage: http://AuntBee09.blogspot.com/

On February 6, 2008, at the Bellevue Police (and Fire) Training Center (at 1838 116th Ave NE) the King County Sheriff SWAT Team and helicopter, Guardian One, did routine training. With guns in hand and wearing full body-armor, SWAT members repelled from the helicopter with ropes onto a training building which is probably about five stories up. I was about level with the top of the building and about 100 yards away. It was very loud and amazing to see in person.

http://www.metrokc.gov/sheriff /what/specialized_services/swa t.aspx (King County SWAT team info)

NOTE: sorry I did not get better shots. I was in the middle of something and did not have time to go down to the training center for a better view (I don't know if they would have let me pass the gate or not). Maybe next time :) SOME PEOPLE HAVE CONTACTED ME THINKING I WAS HIDING BEHIND TREES, but I was not. There just happened to be lots of tree in between the training center and the parking-lot I was filming from. Furthermore, I DID NOT TRESPASS any property to videotape this.

Another NOTE: this might be Guardian Two (as one youtuber brought up in the comments) because Guardian One does not have any hoists on it.

Radio Chatter: WSP Respond to Avalanche at Snoqualmie Pass AuntBee09 - 22,699 views - 1 year ago
***My homepage: http://AuntBee09.blogspot.com/

On January 30, 2008, an avalanche of snow came down on to Interstate 90 in Snoqualmie Pass (which is part of the Cascade Mountains). Rescue teams worked to find survivors. It was later discovered that no one was seriously hurt, even though a few vehicles were buried. Washington State Department of Transportation and State Patrol then shut down I-90 because of the avalanche danger and hazardous road conditions. This closure caused many companies to loose money because truckers either had to wait it out or take a long alternative route. If I remember right, this was (one of) the biggest avalanches Snoqualmie Pass ever had. WSP District 2 uses 155.580 MHz (100.0 PL) for their main dispatch.

Key Points:
0:00 (I started recording a few minutes after the first call out)
2:40 (a trooper says he sees a car in the snow)
5:40 (a trooper says they have to get the media helicopters out of the area because of the their sound and the avalanche danger)
6:30 (the dispatcher gives a summery of events)

AuntBee09 (auntbee09@aim.com) loves producing videos of newsworthy events that take place where he lives (yes, contrary to the implications of his screen name, AuntBee09 is a "he"). With his camera at the ready, AuntBee09 listens to his police scanner for something interesting, then goes and films it. People that do this are called "stringers". This is fun for AuntBee09 because he gets to share his experiences with people. He likes showing what police officers, firefighters, and paramedics do everyday for strangers. Also, he sometimes makes money selling his footage to local news stations, like KOMO 4, KING 5, and KIRO 7 (not yet Q 13). In addition, his work has been on downtownbellevue.net and in the Bellevue Reporter. AuntBee09 hopes you will enjoy his work, because that's another reason he does it :)
