Rep. Weiner, I'm a huge fan of your work on health care reform, and since the debated heated up over the summer, I've been watching your interviews and your speeches on the floor, and they're all very impressive. Keep fighting!

I have a question on a different topic. CNN just reported that GOP senators are pushing for a constitutional amendment to enforce term limits on congress, 12 yrs for senators and 6 yrs for house reps. What say ye on this issue? Thanks.

I live in TN and am disabled, I also work for a center for independent living that serves disabled people in my county. My concern is that the US is regressing when it comes to disability issues. How does the proposed healthcare reform address the concerns of people who have disabilities, specifically quality of care & access to care due to lack of insurance coverage in many cases? Also, does the reform proposed address the need to promote home & community based services as opposed to the institutional bias that has existed in this country when it comes to people with disabilities needing healthcare? Thank you for taking the time to answer my questins, Nicole Anderson.

Why have you pulled your health-care amendment that was up for house vote this week?

I have a lot I'd like to say about our current situation with health care, and also how modern day politics have affected not just basic reform, but progress and improvement, but I'll make my question short as I know you're very busy.

What, in your opinion, would be the most important reform to our health care system, taking into account the pressure of lobbying from special interests that will occur if proposed, and what steps have you taken, and will you take to make sure we come closer to accomplishing that goal?

My question involves not only health care reform, but the problems with campaign finance and how much sway those corporations have over the votes of our elected officials.

A bit heavy, but I would appreciate any answer you have the time to give.

Thank you for your bravery against all odds. But it looks like I won't see health care in my lifetime. With pre-existing conditions and being at the end of my rope it feels like it's over. Obama let us down and I wish I could take back my vote; I'm very ill and have no recourse for medical care. I owe so much to hospitals now and they still can't find the dis-order or what ever it is, but I cant pile another bill onto my family, but thank you for tying. You are about the only one in the Congress working for the people instead of the corporations. You know 1% off the total military budget we could all have health care.
Best Wishes

Hello Representative Weiner,

My name is Pranam Chatterjee, and I am a 16 year old Progressive activist. I live in Georgia, thus I frequently find it difficult to communicate my ideologies in the ultra-conservative South. I am a loyal fan of yours, as well as a determined advocate of the Single-Payer, Medicare for All, plan that you support so fervently and effectively. As you well know, the Public Option with an opt-out provision was put in the Senate bill that will be up for a vote. My question to you, sir, is how can we get a stronger, more comprehensive version of the Public Option into the final piece of legislation? I am willing to put in as much effort as necessary to make sure that we do get a strong Public Option, so to help our fellow citizens, and ultimately help this nation, progress in a positive direction.

It's coming down to the wire now. Pelosi had promised you would be allowed to bring a SINGLE PAYER amendment to the floor. So hold Pelosi's feet to the fire and DO NOT let her renege on that promise! I've phoned and sent faxes to her and the representatives in my state on this issue.
