Above all, what Socialist, without flushing with shame, maintains he is not a revolutionary?

I am a relatively educated person who is committed to the end of religion and the liberation of the Human mind.
I believe that Humankind is inherently good and that all of the world's problems are a direct result of religion and/or rampant capitalism.
I believe that people are trained from a young age to go against their natural inclination for Human solidarity. This "training" to be selfish and to be a self-absorbed consumer comes from years of indoctrination via the media and a society controlled and manipulated by corporate culture.

We can prevail over these forces. We must.

Science indicates that Humankind is only one pair of chromosomes away from our closest relatives in the animal kingdom-the chimpanzee, the gorilla, and the orangutan. Consider all that we have accomplished because of that tiny difference.

Imagine what we could have accomplished if we were not still infected with the disease of religion; if we were not saddled with a global economic system that enslaves the poor of the 3rd world and imprisons the shrinking middle class of the 1st world.

Will we watch, fearfully and impotently, while we squander the potential contained in our genetic form? Will we idly waste the "spark" of our species on such frivolous goals as profit and consumerism?

I think not. Not without as forceful a fight as I can muster.
