#Apollo45 Where were you when Apollo 11 Landed on the Moon?

July 20th is the 45th Anniversary of the Apollo 11 moon landing.

Everywhere in the world Buzz travels, people tell them their stories of where they were the day he and Neil Armstrong walked on the moon. He used to keep a little black book to keep track of where everyone was but now he wants to use social media to gather your stories. Share yours! Don't forget to use the hashtag - #Apollo45.

On July 8th, we launched a social media campaign which includes a YouTube Channel, #Apollo45.

This is a channel where you can share your story, your parents', your grandparents', or your friends' stories of that moment and how it inspires you, with Buzz and everyone who tunes in.

We will also feature new videos from astronauts, public figures and celebrities, who share their memories and congratulate the crew for this historic event, from July 10th through to the Anniversary on July 20th.

Astronaut Mark Kelly shares his sentiments about the Moon Landing.

A naval aviator, Kelly flew combat missions during the Gulf War. He was selected to become a NASA Space Shuttle pilot in 1996 and flew his first mission in 2001 as pilot of STS-108. He piloted STS-121 in 2006 and commanded STS-124 in 2008 and STS-134 in 2011. STS-134 was his final mission and the final mission of Space Shuttle Endeavour.[2]
