Runners・High [ランナーズ・ハイ] (PC-9801): The All-Course Blowout!! AdigunPolack - 303 views - 4 months ago
Available in 1280x720 High-Definition resolution, this is the All-Course blowout of such an outstanding little "time-trial"-based game developed in 1996 by Compile for the NEC PC-9801 home computer, and it is entitled Runners・High (ランナーズ・ハイ)... a MUST-PLAY indeed!!! ^_~=b !!

This game was originally featured as part of Compile's own Disc Station Vol. 10 (1996) for PC-98, and it consists of only three (3) courses for you to choose from: Ocean Course (Easy), Grass Course (Normal), and Sunset Course (Expert). Once you select your course, you will come off running and flying as your character will be this AWESOME woman suited up into such a hot kick-ass jetpack... quite a first for Compile to attempt such a hot little racer as this, I think!!! :D

Now, in this HD superplay, watch me as I clear all three courses with precise and careful timing... despite some small bits of trouble here and there.

My small gripe on Runners・High is that the game is too short, but if you have a PC-98 yourself, DO NOT MISS this great little ride of a racer indeed, I promise you!!! Still a top-notch game to pass the time!!!

And, I thank you so much for your awesome watching of my original superplay of Runners・High, ladies and gentlemen!!! (^_~)v !!

Pleasure Hearts (MSX2/MSX2+/MSXturboR series): The Single Credit Conquest -- Part 4 of 4 AdigunPolack - 189 views - 5 months ago
Available in 1280x720 High-Definition resolution, this is a WORLD-EXCLUSIVE piece of YouTube video footage of what could rather well be the ultimate MSX shmup that blows away all others to date, and it is simply entitled Pleasure Hearts, presented to you by M-Kai (M改) in 1999!!!

Now, Pleasure Hearts is without a total doubt such a MEGA MAD-HOT horizontal scrolling manic shooting-game in the style of Cave's later 2000 arcade game Progear no Arashi (プロギアの嵐) mixed in with Compile's Zanac and Aleste series and fused together in quite a melding that is just simply and most captivatingly unforgettable for such a MSX game... so much so that it is just truly fricking uncanny!!! You just have to see it all in action to believe that this is *actually* happening on such a classic Japanese computer system indeed!!!! :o !!

Speaking of which, I now proudly present to you awesome ladies and gentlemen my four-part shmup superplay of this right here entitled "Pleasure Hearts: The Single Credit Conquest" in which I have cleared the all of the seven (7) stages of this phenomenally damn brilliant piece of MSX game software... fasten your seat belt and hang on tight!!!

Here in this most epic grand conclusion to this four-part video, I present to you now the final stage (stage 7), where the two final boses await with a lot of cunning maniacal attacks as well as quite some tricks up their sleeves against me... and baby, it ain't over 'till it is over!!! And, when there is just one last boss standing, he will throw one plain hell of a bullet-barrage fit like you have NEVER seen before on the MSX system series period... so much so that it ate up all of my reserves, leaving me with just my last ship remaining. Well, wait 'till you see what happens right near the end of the true final boss battle... believe me, you will love it, I can *quite* guarantee you that!!! ;)

You know what, I do not even want you to miss this holy grail of a game on the MSX2/MSX2+/MSXturboR home computer systems, and the author himself has officially released an original of this game for download for use on an MSX emulator (such as blueMSX and openMSX to name just a couple!), and you can find it beginning right here:

http://www.geocities.co.jp/Sil iconValley-Bay/8572/emesex/ind ex.htm

I MUST quite thank you so much for your awesome watching of my original shmup superplay of this tremendously sought-after shmup, ladies and gentlemen, and Pleasure Hearts is utterly a treasure on the MSX indeed... period, no exceptions whatsoever!!!! (^_~)v !!!

A video of perhaps one of my favorite C64 SHMUPS. Why, I do not know!! I met Tony at Alligator software back in 1986 and was just so impressed by his style and this remains with me to this day.
There is something very special about this game that rewards the player.
A fantastic SHMUP!!!

Loop 2 is coming (including the TRUE final boss!), so be sure not to miss it all!! In the meantime, enjoy the destruction festivities in the interesting vid that I have pieced together myself!!! (^-^)v !!

In this *very* special couple of shmup videos taken from my own play of the original x68000 computer version of Cho Ren Sha 68k, here is how I blew through all of the bosses of the second (2nd) loop!!! :D

This is Part 2 and the finish of "Cho Ren Sha 68k (x68000 ver.): The Boss Onslaught — Loop 2", where bosses five, six, and seven are all fought and pushed down in the second loop indeed, with some suicide bullets for you to dodge upon the explosions of them bosses indeed!! ;)

On the TRUE final boss though, I actually lost a handful of ships just fighting through that monstrosity, but I *successfully* managed to conquer him, thus finally beating the entire game at last!!! (^-^)v !!

About Me: Konnichiwa!!! (^-^)v I am Adigun Azikiwe Polack, and I welcome you to my original game and arts videos page on YouTube. Such a real pleasure to have you here!!!

Hey, if you want to know some of my interests, here they are: I am a proud shmup-playing enthusiast and creator of my original PC shmups, such as Dragon Dancer, Marvellous Twilight (with Richard Eric M. Lope), and soon, the VERY first Native American shmup entitled "Native Legend Shorakee"!!! ^-^=b !

Currently now, I have A LOT of catching up to do here since I have *not* been on YouTube much over the past several weeks here, but I will be back in full swing again, so don't you worry... I will return to post new and exciting PC shmup videos soon, so stay tuned!!!

And, I am the founder of my own current website entitled the AAP Official Projects Squad, where I hold a lot of projects (mostly computer-programming related! :D ), as well as the VERY first FreeBASIC demoscene entitled the "FreeBASIC GFX Demo Central", and also some forthcoming new and exciting stuff that I will be adding later on!!! You can now catch the AAP Official Projects Squad at http://aapproj.phatcode.net, got it? ;)

Also, there is a ZERO TOLERANCE strictly against spam on my channel, so only friends can comment on this main page. Period, end of the conversation, NO EXCEPTIONS. Ever.

Thanks so much and do enjoy this page, you wonderful ladies and gentlemen!!! ^_-=b !!

Sup m'man just wanted to stop by and holla. Don't know if you're into RPG's and such, but I'm just about in home stretch to finishing up Far East of Eden: Fu'un Kabuki Den. Lemme tell ya, that game has captivated me though I can't read it, and now I got Manji Maru arriving soon. Trust me, playing RPG's in Japanese isn't all that hard if you take it from a different approach, that is playing them to learn new words instead of concentrating on getting the story. Aight dawg be seeing ya!
AdigunPolack (2 years ago)
And you are quite right, ZeetherKID77. RayHound does have some sounds in now indeed, and they are so AWESOME to listen to while you are playing the game, and it just makes an already great game *truly* better so far, you know? :D

The target to look for on RayHound is v0.91 here, found at:

http://www18.big.or.jp/~hikoza/Prod/
(no spaces)

...because that is the one right there!! ;)

Thanks so much for pointing that out to me, ZeetherKID77!!! ^-^=b !

Check it out dawg! This thing is slick
AdigunPolack (2 years ago)
I never even knew about that. That is a big problem... lack of .AVI support in MAME itself! Oh, damn it!!! :(

However, besides Fraps, there are some other game recorders out there on the internet that are worth trying, Toneman. One of which, is called the ZD Soft Game Recorder. You may look at it and the specs beginning at:

http://www.zdsoft.com/game-recorder/
(no spaces)

Perhaps this should help you get back up to speed again, and I am glad to help!!! ^-^=b !
Toneman (2 years ago)
That's what's up, unfortunately arcade clips are on hold due to FRAPS issues. I swear man, the lack of AVI support on MAME is rather disturbing.
AdigunPolack (2 years ago)
WOW!! Thanks so much for the splendid comment, Toneman!!! :D

And yes, I do motivate a lot of people indeed with such interesting comments, especially regarding plays of shmups featured here on YouTube. I mean, hell, I was once called eccentric back in my internet days since 2002, and I sure didn't mind that at all... in fact, I was *real* proud of that myself, actually!! ^-^=b !

And yes, you were SO awesome at Super Contra indeed so as to successfully clear the arcade game, my man!!! Boy, I am telling you, it sure took some rather damn guts to pull that one off, but you did it!! ;)

See you again, and be looking forward to some more new amazing arcade game vids, Toneman!!!
