Aside from Oprah wanting to help people in general I think she thought it would be easier in Africa. It goes along with her idea that Africans would be more serious about the school. The parents are complaining about the kids not having snacks. People can be ungrateful no matter how poor or rich they are.

I think your forgetting that Oprah is a entertainer she is not the government or god she does what she pleases with her money it's no ones choice U make money and help people here she should help kids in africa cause kids here don't give a shit about education
