The importance of Salat is established in the Five pillars of Islam The effect of Salat is taught to us in the following Hadeeh narated by Abu Huraira (r) the Prophet of Allah (s) said - " if there was a river at the door of anyone of you and he took a bath in it five times a day, would you notice and dirt on him?" they (SaHaaba) said "Not a trace of dirt would be left" the Prophet of Allah (s) added "That is an example of the five Salat with which Allah blots out evil deeds" (recorded in SaHeeH Bukhari in 'the book of the times of Salat' - chapter 4. Allahafiz. |
