Genaside II - Death of the Kamikazee
What can I say..? Pure insanity this one for those in the know, a rare one from back in the day, a very early influence to all the bass heavy tunes that followed.
Nod yer head or dance around,
but... TURN IT UP!

AA Bus It (It's Time To Get B'zy) (The Final Message)

The original was released in 1990 and was massive on pirate radio at the time. This is a later and in my opinion better 1991 remix version.

About Me: I dropped a couple of Doves back in the summer of '88 and went to a Sunrise party in an aircraft hanger at Santa Pod.. we got there in a convoy from South Mimms services on the Saturday night, arriving after midnight and the party had already been going for hours..

Public schoolboys and girls, the Sloane and Chelsea set and all the music promoters, dressed to the nines with painted faces, tripping and pilling and having a great time, they knew what the score was long before us, been at it for ages, the stuff of headlines, but we we're about to find out for ourselves.. another time and planet was coming up fast, life changing, memorable..

Two Doves, five windowpanes of Acid and ten hours later I wandered outside to see the Sun and the Earth like I'd never seen it before, we hung around all day, floating about.. people striking up disjointed conversations, but just happy to be in each others company, sharing something that was bigger than our brains could comprehend.. acid colours and smiling faces.. all people without predjudice.. summer of love..

Eventually we had to make a move, we we're coming down, danced out and blissed out and as we we're leaving more happy people were arriving, strange accents who, when you stopped to ask, told us they were from Manchester, Sheffield, Newcastle, coaches full.. cool I'd never met anyone from there before, well not long enough to talk..and the party carried on..I left a little of myself there and I took away a whole lot more than I came with..

All back to a friends, only we we're different now, better friends, closer with so much to talk about.. When I hear those beats, that's where I am.. to all the people from back in the day, I love you all and may the revolution never stop.. Peace

Rob.

Hi Rob....I subbed a while back, but just came back to your profile and wanted to say how good your 'about myself' bit is - It just sums those days up to perfection....I've had many a 'disjointed' conversation, stumbling about in a field, that seemed to make perfect sense at the time! and going into shops on a bright Sunday morning trying to look and act 'normal' ;)...blissfull,funny,magic daze!.........take care, Jackie x
