One of the greatest Philly harmony groups is recording some terrific new material. Their voices sound superb as they weave their complicated harmonies through this new track called 'Soul Recession'. They have been best friends for years and it shows. They have enormous respect for each other and joined us in the studio to check things out. They have some amazing stories to tell too. In addition they listened to 'Everyman' and joined in the vocals there and then, just like the original recording. This one of performance was captured in part on my video and I savoured that yesterday. What an absolute thrill.

Also notice some of the greatest Philly session musicians from back in the day on the video. Earl Young, Dennis Harris, Bobby Eli, T G Conway, Jimmy Williams and Rickie Hicks! Talk about MFSB & TSOP! These guys were cooking outside and inside the studio. I was speechless as both the group and musicians came up with enhancements to the songs! So now I know how it was all done back at Sigma!

But there is one thing we must never discount - Wah Wahs's who are just down the road from the studio! Food and coffee got the creativity flowing in the studio for the writers, producers, musicians and artists. I think they should sponsor this session and be as creative. Coffee with French vanilla was my favourite, and the meatballs. (less info)
