Some of the "stuff" that you will not find on the MSM (main stream media) in Scotland. The facts "they" don't want you to know.........
British citizens' optimism about their job prospects is rated 98th in the world.
Ever heard the saying "don't trust the polls" well...on 07 of march 2011 the Polling organisation YouGov have announced that they are to change their weighting and sampling system for Scotland after a review of their methods suggested that they have been underestimating support for the SNP.
As if we never knew!
World renouned economist Andrew Hughes Hallett backed the SNP's case in respect to the benefits of economic independence. Asked whether Scotland would 'definitely' be better off, Prof Hallett replied:"You can definitely say that it [Scotland] would be better off in terms of the revenue."
A recent opinion poll shows that more than 80% of Scots believe that the present coalition and the previous Labour governments in London are responsible for the parlous state of Britain's public finances.
Professor Hughes Hallett also rubbished claims by leading Scottish Labour politicians that an independent Scotland could not have survived the banking crisis by explaining that much of the liabilities suffered by HBOS and RBS would have fallen on England.
With the UK's tax-base plummeting, North Sea oil will soon contribute 20% of all of the UK's corporation tax. This doesn't take into account tax levied at the pump. It is clear that if those revenues were attributed to a Scottish treasury that Scotland would move in the direction of Norway's economic success and away from Britain's public sector debt, financial and currency crises.
Scotland is facing a £1.3 billion cut to the block grant next year as the ConDem coalition seek to address the deficit left behind by the last Labour government. The cuts come at a time when Scotland is in fact in fiscal surplus and the parlous state of the UK's economy has led to calls for Scotland to seek full fiscal autonomy.
the world-famous investment guru and former Quantum Fund partner of George Soros, Jim Rogers who, in an interview on US business TV channel CNBC, talking about European debt problems said: "Greece is insolvent, Portugal has a liquidity problem, Spain has a liquidity problem, Belgium has been cooking the books for a long time, Italy has been cooking the books for a long time and the UK is totally insolvent."
Although government spokesmen and City analysts point to the fact that the UK government debts are less, relatively, than the amounts faced by Ireland, Greece or Japan, the UK's debts in total are 466% of annual economic output once consumer debt is included. That's second only to Japan. However Japan has the comfort of a sound manufacturing and export base as well as the fact that the majority of its debt, unlike the UK, is owned by its own citizens.
Remember....
"When a Unionist is talking, It's London's voice you hear; their cause is changing nothing, and in change they foster fear"
