I was born and raised in Chicago & Highland Park, IL. I graduated from Stephens College in Columbia, Missouri. (My nickname in college was "small world Deb!!)

After college, I became an Elementary Ed. teacher AND worked in a few bars on the infamous "Rush Street" in Chicago. Now my nickname became "Disco Deb of Rush Street"!! I guess I am giving my age away!!! LOL:) My best tip was $100 for 1 drink from Mark Farner of "Grandfunk Railroad"!

On this infamous street is where I met Dan, my "true love" & "soul mate". This August, we will be married for 29 glorious years!! Not many people can say that, yet I sure can!:)

We have 3 of the most awesome children on earth! Brian, Sean, & Megan! They have made my life complete!! My days are filled with sunshine because of my kids and my wonderful husband!! Okay...enough of the mushy stuff!! LOL:)

We lived in Barrington,IL (home of the late Walter "Sweetness" Payton!) We moved from Barrington to Wellington, FL in 1994. I just couldn't stand the cold weather anymore!

However, after surviving the longest, hottest summer of 2007, and surviving hurricanes Charley, Francis, Ivan, Jeanne, and Wilma, I think I might be able to withstand the cold "Windy City" winters!!! WOW.....I have never been so scared in my entire life, as I did, standing on my screened "lanai" (that's what they call a "porch" in Florida..LOL!) watching the mile high pine trees in my backyard bending to the right...all the way to the ground....and to the left....all the way to the ground....... (they looked like they were exercising for gosh sakes!!) and actually getting blown around on the porch by the 115 m.p.h. gusts!! Yes, you say, "What an absolute fool for being outside during a category 4 hurricane!" But I wanted to "experience" what it was like!! Well, now I know! I won't ever do that again!!! Dan & I have already decided as soon as it looks like a bad ass (oops! Sorry!) hurricane is coming this way we are boarding up the house and getting out of Dodge!!!

I guess I told you my life history, rather than describing myself!! Well, here goes! I'm 5'2", eyes of blue (for real!! LOL) & red hair! I am very outgoing, (wait...let me get my "LARGE PRINT" thesaurus.....LOL!) enthusiastic, devoted, honest, ethical, professional, big on goal setting and time management, understanding, supportive, kind, caring, considerate, a great listener,(that's why we have 2 ears and 1 mouth!!!) Yet, I can be your best friend or your worst nightmare! (JUST DON'T: mess with my sons & daughter, lie to me, or betray me!) I am a pack rat, I do procrastinate, (I just find other things I'd rather do!!) I spend too much money on clothes, designer purses, and Birkenstock's!! (that's because I watch the "Q" shopping channel too much!!) I need to eat healthier and exercise more; I am very gullible and even at my age, way too naive!!

So there you have my life history, my assets and liabilities!!! Accept me the way I am and you have found a new friend!!!:)
