One of my earliest memories is sittin' in my Momma's lap and watchin' the Cannonball roll down the tracks to the theme of Petticoat Junction. It wasn't until '68 that I was old enough to remember the episodes, so it isn't all that surprising that Betty Jo and Steve's romance is still a favorite for me. I watched them into the early reruns back in the '70s, then again on TVLAND. Every now and then I like to kick back and remember a simpler time, without cars or television, when an evenings entertainment was family and friends gathering around the piano for a sing-a-long. When I put these on DVD, I thought, what the heck. Nothing's really furn, unless you can share it. :-}
So, come with me to the Junction folks and sit a spell. Forget about your cares, it is time to relax, at the Junction. :-}
A collection of videos designed to celebrate the saga of Luke and Laura, a long-time favorite of mine. My purpose has been to show younger soap fans what true storytelling can be. The possibilities are truly limitless. I begin with these two, but I will slowly add the rest of the GH cast of that golden era -- IMO the best in the business, daytime or primetime. So these videos are the start, but no means the limit. Just look at it like a diving board. :-} Enjoy the water folks.
This is an interesting little parable about. . .well, you'll get the point. ;-} It first came out when I had just turned seven I believe. The original televised version featured Dustin Hoffman as the narrator instead of Ringo Starr, but Mike (Bobby Brady) Lookinland was always Oblio - the round-headed little boy born in a kingdom full of pointy headed people.
Oh, and a warning. Part 7, although on the list, will not play as part of a playlist. It is watchable, but has to be opened in a separate window. All the others play in order however.
This will include all the videos from rhda8386, one of two who have been so kind to share these with us. In honor of Leslie Charleson's return as Monica Quartermaine, I give you this treasure. Enjoy. Set a spell. Travel back in time. . .it's 1983.
There are several full episodes in this playlist. Lots of everyone here y'all. And the last part centers largely around Scotty and Laura & Bobbie and Luke's dastardly attempts to get Laura's probation revoked so she will have to go to reform school. Hated Bobbie with a passion here. Hated Luke with a passion here. Because they were coming between my Scotty and Laura. Not that it did me much good. *sigh* I also added several videos from early 1979 to round out the Bobbie fake pregnancy storyline.
WARNING: - This channel occasionally hit by hail storms, lightnin', & a Texas Tornado. Not to worry, it's usually followed by the Texas Armadilluh which is much quieter. :-}
The rest of the time it's an eclectic collection of Petticoat Junction episodes, and other classic daytime and primetime television, movies, and music - and even a little radio just for flavor. Yep. I don't have a TV so this is it and y'all get to benefit. So sit back, kick your feet up and rest a spell. Miz Nick's got your back. :-}
Background made by Monkeygrove just for me.
