On Monday, June 17, 2013, at 11 a.m., Toronto Crime Stoppers will be announcing its new partnership with Paw Tipsters, a non−profit registered charitable organization where
individuals call in and report tips of animal abuse to Winnipeg Crime Stoppers.

The partnership will provide Toronto residents with a hotline to report anonymous tips about animal cruelty and will be treated with the same policies used with reports made to Toronto Crime Stoppers.

"This partnership sheds light on the fact that animal abuse and cruelty is a serious crime and will be investigated. We have had many people from Toronto and the surrounding area request to bring the Paw Tipsters program there, so this is where we will begin our national expansion," said Yvonne Russell, president of Paw Tipsters.

Yvonne Russell will share her knowledge on the abuse and mistreatment that helpless
animals endure everyday and what the community can do to help stop it. She will be joined by Gary Grant, Chair of Toronto Crime Stoppers. Gary and Yvonne will be available for media interviews after the conference. If you would like to schedule an interview, please contact Lorne Simon at 416−560−6441 or 416−785−5037
